We imagine a world where every single person can age in place safely in the place they call home.

Our why

There are over 54 million people who are 65 years or older, making this the fastest growing age group in the US. By 2040, older adults will comprise 1 in 5 people in this country. With only 6.5% of older adults living in assisted living facilities or nursing homes, the vast majority of us and the people we love will have to contemplate the question of how we age in our homes safely, comfortably, and with dignity.

Home modifications play a critical role in enabling seniors to age in place with greater comfort, independence, and improved health outcomes. Every second an older adult falls, leading to 1 in 4 older adults falling each year. Falls are the number one cause of injury and injury deaths among adults 65+, with majority of falls taking place at home. While home modifications do not solve all problems when it comes to aging in place, we believe they are the best place to start. Not only do home modifications reduce the number of in-home care hours needed, it gives people the independence to comfortably live in the place they call home.

On a personal note, like almost everyone else, we and our parents have had to ponder the question of what it means to get older. How do we keep doing the things we love to do in the places we love to do them? How do we best best handle challenging transitions? What can we do to make things a little bit easier? Along the way, we realized it would have been a big help if we had someone who we trusted to help us.

So we’re here to offer that help to you, so you don’t have to go it alone.
